Train To Be A Nurse Aide

If you, or someone you know, would like to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Southeast Colorado Hospital District will be offering a Nurse Aide Class. Applicants need to be 16 or older, and must pass a background check and a drug screen. The class is free if you work for SECHD or for Walsh Healthcare.

We are accepting applications for the next open class that runs in 2019.

The final for 2018: Ended December 29, 2018.

Deadline for application: Open for 2019 Classes.

Wages at SECHD when Certified:

Wages at SECHD after 90 days: Increased

Nurse aides learn to care for hospital patients and residents in Long Term Care Centers. The Nurse Aide Class is an opportunity to begin a career in the medical field. The classes run three weeks, from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. To apply, you must be 16 or older with no record of a felony, violent or theft crime and you must pass a drug screening to be considered for the class. A reading comprehension test and an interview will be completed prior to acceptance into the Nurse Aide Class.
