Registered Nurse - Cardio Pulmonary
Part Time- Requires current Colorado RN License. Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.

PURPOSE FOR THE POSITION:
Be the first to respond to any patient request or need, support other members of the Cardiopulmonary team in meeting patient needs, be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job to provide nursing care to patients in the outpatient setting within the scope of license, supervise program implementation, provide care of the patient with cardiac or pulmonary disease, implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of cardiopulmonary rehab. Collaborates with Cardiopulmonary team. Supervises work of support personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules patients for exercise sessions and determines appropriate exercise equipment for each patient. Supervises patient exercise sessions. Assess patient for changes in patient status and medication changes daily. Implements the exercise prescription for each patient, under the medical director's supervision. Monitors and records blood pressures, pulse rates, telemetry, pulse oximetry. Ensures that Cardiac Rehab is safe, comprehensive, cost-effective and medically appropriate for individual patients. Contribute to the development of Cardiopulmonary Department by acting as a credible role model, educator, and an expert clinician, using current research and evidence-based practice. Communicate effectively with physician, other members of cardiopulmonary team and others as indicated regarding treatment plan and patient response to plan. Supervises work of CNA. Completes all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed. Requires regular attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned.
