Clinical Laboratory


Southeast Colorado Hospital District (SECHD) Laboratory is accredited by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all laboratory testing. Our key role is to perform testing for the purpose of diagnosing or treating a disease, illness, or assessment of the health of a patient.

Clinical diagnostic services include:


Chemistry - Profiles, Cholesterol, Thyroid, TPSA
Hematology - Complete Blood Counts, Phlebotomy
Urinalysis
Coagulation - Protime/INR, aPTT, D-Dimer
Urine Cultures
Transfusion services
Spot Testing - i.e., Mono, Flu, Pregnancy, H-pylori, Strep, RSV
Any test not provided in-house may be drawn and submitted to our reference laboratory

Blood Transfusion Services

The lab receives a weekly shipment of blood from Belle Bonfils in Denver contributing to our quality and safety

Outpatient Services Available:

Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The laboratory personnel is on call evenings, nights and weekends for emergencies.
