Clinical Laboratory


Southeast Colorado Hospital District (SECHD) Laboratory is accredited by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all laboratory testing. We provide experienced, courteous and certified personnel to perform testing for the purpose of diagnosing or treating a disease, illness, or assessment of the health of a patient.


Clinical diagnostic services include:


Chemistry, Profiles, Cholesterol, Thyroid, PSA, Lipid (fasting preferred), Cardiac, VB12/Folate, Diabetic testing
Hematology - Complete Blood Counts, Phlebotomy
Urinalysis
Coagulation - Protime/INR, aPTT, D-Dimer
Urine Cultures
Transfusion services
Spot Testing - i.e., Mono, Flu, Pregnancy, H-pylori, Strep, RSV
Certified DOT and NON DOT drug collections - Contact laboratory for these tests.
Pre-employment & random done between 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Post-accident done as required.
Any test not provided in-house may be drawn and submitted to our reference laboratory.

Blood Transfusion Services

The lab receives a weekly shipment of blood from the Red Cross contributing to our quality and safety

Outpatient Services Available:

Monday-Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Laboratory personnel are on call evenings, nights and weekends for emergencies.
